Full Financial Support including Mentoring and Psychological Counselling to select students from economically disadvantaged families who have enrolled in Institutes of Higher Education for Undergraduate Courses.
Eligibility –
- The Scholarship is open only to Luit Fellows who have secured confirmed admission to pursue Bachelor’s program in an institute of repute in India.
- The scholarship encourages students in those subjects which will have an impact on overall socio-economic background of Assam.
What the Scholarship supports?
- All fees that the scholar will incur in furthering her/his academics during the entire duration of the program.
- Purchase of necessary books, equipment’s etc.
How to Apply?
Luit Fellows who have secured confirmed admission should apply in the prescribed application format supported by the following documents –
- Letter of admission.
- Statement of Purpose.
Statement of Purpose –
The most important point to note is that the Statement of Purpose (SoP) is NOT a Personal Statement, which means that candidates must avoid biographical references. The SoP, specifically addressed to the “Trustees Adhyaya”, an academic document and should ideally address the following questions, while written in candidates’ own words, between 500 and 800.
- What is your course and why you have chosen it?
- How does your programme fulfil your needs and interests?
- What are your career plans?
