Our Fellows and Scholars are the vital clogs of the organisations that keep us all motivated. Our team act as a cheerleader, counsellor and friend to the fellows. The role of the Trustees and Advisory Board is to provide guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modelling in ensuring that our Fellows can dream the ‘Impossible Dream’.

Pallab Bhattacharyya
IPS (Retd.)- Trustee
Mr Bhattacharyya was the former Director General of Police (DGP-Special Branch), Assam and Chairperson, Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). He has been a guiding force of Luit Fellows since its founding.
Rahul Barkataky
Founder & Trustee
Rahul is a social entrepreneur who has co-founded and mentored a number of high impact social enterprises across South Asia. He founded Adhyaya in 2016 with the objective to provide a enabling platform for the Youth of North East India to nurture their potential for a just and prosperous region. Rahul is a graduate of the Institute of Rural Management, (IRMA) Anand and a GSBI fellow.
Dr Parveez Ubed
Founder, ERC Eye Care Pvt. Ltd.
Dr Parveez who is a trained Opthalmologist, is an entrepreneur who founded ERC Eye Care, North East India’s largest affordable eye care provider. He has been associated with Luit Fellows since its inception.

Program Manager

I am from Sivasagar, Assam and have complete my bachelor’s in economics and masters in Assamese from Guwahati university. After my studies I was involved with ICMR’s projects which provided me ample exposure to field work in difficult terrains and engagement with communities. Apart from this, I was participating in various awareness camps in education and mental health sector with various organization. I have a great desire to work with rural youth and backward communities on education and mental health.

Trishna Das

Counselling Psychologist

Trishna Das is a counselling psychologist and art therapy and Neuro-Linguistic programming practitioner. She is a founder of Therapeutic Couch, a platform that promotes mental health awareness, and focuses on mental health well-being among people.

Trishna has completed her bachelor’s in psychology from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. She has pursued her masters in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Noida. She has also completed her post graduate diploma course in art therapy from Asha the hope, Bangalore. Trishna has worked with various NGO’s and rehabilitation centers such as Ashadeep, Assam Autistic Foundation, Shanti Home etc.

Chinmoy Sarma is a teacher and a career counsellor. He looks after Barpeta and Bajali district for conducting career guidance sessions under Disha program.

Chinmoy Sarma has completed his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Tihu College, under Gauhati University. He has pursued Diploma in Elementary Education from S.D.P College of Teacher Education, Tihu. He has worked as an Assistant Teacher at Jatiya Vidyalaya, Tihu.

Mrinal Boruah

Assistant Manager, Disha Program

Mrinal Boruah is a teacher, a musician, an actor, a social organiser from Majuli. He is also a musical arranger at Taranga Studio, Majuli.

Mrinal has completed his Master’s in Economics from from Dibrugarh University and a Diploma in elementary education from SCERT, Assam.He has been involved with various cultural programmes, seminars in various places of Assam for more than a decade. He has also been participating in various awareness camps in education sector with various NGOs . He has a great aspiration to work for socio- cultural and economic upliftment of children of remote areas by providing information and guidance on career opportunities in various fields.
