Manoj Deka

Manoj is the son of a very poor family from Malibari village of Kamrup Rural. Manoj’s father somehow manages the financial burden of the family of four through earnings that he gets from his hand cart. From his meagre savings he provides Manoj the support needed for his studies. In spite of such difficulties, Manoj passed the latest high school examination with 91.8% marks. He is determined to become a computer engineer in the future. Manoj is currently studying at The Sigma Point, BaihataChariali.

Dhrubajyoti Hazarika

Dhrubajyoti Hazarika

Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, hails from a very remote village, 2 No Thengal of Moran. From the age of two and a half, his mother has raised him on her own with a lot of difficulty. In the midst of such adversity, Dhrubajyoti cleared the high school examination for the year 2023 with 93.33% marks. With a keen interest in literature, his writings have been published in magazines such as Mauchak, Safura, New Abishkar, etc. Dhurvajyoti has already published a book review titled ‘A Journey to the World of Books’ by an independent publisher in the United States under the self-publishing platform of Amazon Kindle. He is currently studying in arts stream at Lengeri Higher Secondary School. His goal is to become a professor of English.

Rofiqul Hoque

Rofiqul Hoque

Rofiqul lives with his family in Golaghat. His father is a mason with a meagre income and takes care of all the expenses of the family. Despite not getting all the facilities to study, Rofiqul passed the High School Examination-2023. Rafiqul, who hopes to become an engineer in the future, is currently studying science stream at Debraj Roy College.

Bhumika Nath

Bhumika Nath

Bhumika is a resident of a remote village called Bhakuatepa of Barpeta district. It was very difficult to take care of the academic requirements of the two children with the little money that her father earns from a small shop besides meeting the basic needs of the family of four. But she overcame all these hurdles and passed the last high school examination with 89.5% marks. Currently, she is studying in the arts stream at Mritunjoy Academy, Barpeta and wants to pursue a career in Civil Service to serve the country.

Nasrin Jafri

A resident of Baligaon in the interior of Morigaon district, Nasrin's father has been struggling hard to manage the family along with his daughter’s education with the modest income earned as a daily labourer. Nasrin, who aspires to become an administrative officer in the future, passed the last high school examination with a score of 86.84%. Nasrin is currently studying in the arts stream of Barigaon Higher Secondary School.

Nibir Ranjan Dutta

Nibir is from Hatichungi Kamar Gaon in Jorhat district. His father is not in good physical condition, so his mother had to take it upon herself to support her family and educate her two children by sewing clothes. Despite such hurdles, Nibir passed the high school examination with 90.83% marks. At present, he is studying in the science stream at Jorhat Government Higher Secondary Multipurpose Boys School. His goal in the future is to serve society by becoming a doctor.

Bismoi Bikas Neog

Bismoi lives in Rangajan village of Lakhimpur district. Bismoi’s father is a farmer and somehow manages to feed the family with his meagre income. Without getting all the facilities to study, Bismoi passed the High School Examination-2023 with 96.5% marks. With an aim to become a doctor in the future, he is currently studying in the science stream of Gyanjyoti Junior College in Narayanpur.

Kuldip Hazarika

Kuldip who is from Dhalpur in Lakhimpur has been raised by his single mother after his father passed away. Tragedy struck the family again when his elder brother also passed away in an accident. Despite such hardship, his mother has been able to provide all the support for Kuldip. Kuldip managed to push past all obstacles and passed his examination with 97.83% marks securing the eighth position in Assam. Kuldip, who dreams of becoming a doctor in the future, is currently studying science at Pearl Academy Senior Secondary School located at Bamgaon in Biswanath Chariali.

A resident of Gamiri Gayan Gaon in Demow, Sivasagar district Haripriya had to face a lot of struggles since it was not easy to meet the basic needs of a joint family through the meagre income of her father,who is a small farmer. In the midst of financial difficulties, she passed the high school examination with 92.34% due to resilience and hard work. Haripriya, who dreams of becoming an engineer in the future, is studying in the science stream at Academy of Science, Sivasagar. Her hobby is painting.

Prasanta Kalita

Prasanta lives with his parents and brother in Barsimalua village in Nalbari. His father is a newspaper vendor and has to deliver newspapers from house to house to feed the family. Prasanta could not even take any private tuition due to financial problems. However, Prashanta still managed to overcome all obstacles with hard work and utmost dedication, securing 86.77 % in the last high school examination. Currently he is enrolled in the science stream in Class XI at Nalbari College. His dream is to become an engineer.

Chayanika is from a very poor family in Na-Mati Bongaon village of Baksa district . Both parents are working as daily wage labourers and somehow manage the family expenses with many difficulties. Amidst financial problems, Chayanika passed the last high school examination with 88% marks. Her aim is to serve the poor by becoming a nurse. Currently she is a student of science at Bajali Academy of Excellence Pathshala. Chayanika's hobby is dancing.

Satyajit Nath

Satyajit Nath

Satyajit Nath is the son of an economically weak family in Charaibahi in Morigaon district. His father takes care of his family of four with a meagre income obtained by driving trucks. In the midst of all these challenges, Satyajit passed the high school examination with 97% marks . Satyajit is currently a science student at Gurukul Global Academy, Nagaon and his dream is to serve others by becoming a doctor..

Mandip Bora

Mandip Bora's father is a farmer from Borbali village in Lakhimpur district. He manages to take care of his family of five members with a low income from farming . Mandeep has passed the high school examination for the year 2023 with 96.5% marks. In the future he wants to be an engineer. Presently, he is enrolled in science stream at Eastern Senior Secondary School, Narayanpur.

Keshab Chetri

Keshab Chetri

An example of grit and determination in spite of extreme poverty, Keshab is from Ushapur Village in Duliajan. His father works as a daily wage labourer and it is difficult for the family to manage their daily needs. But despite such challenges, Keshab scored 96.5% in the 2023 high school examination. Currently he is studying in science stream at Oil India Higher Secondary School in Duliajan. He dreams of serving the country by joining the National Defence Academy (NDA).

Nabangkur Barman

Nabangkur Barman

Nabangkur is a resident of Barnibari, a very backward village of Nalbari district. His parents have raisedtheir two children with the money earned by their father from a small business. Although Nabankur did not have access to all the necessary facilities whilst studying, he passed the high school examination with 88.84%. At present he is studying in the science stream at Chamata Higher Secondary School with an aim to become a doctor.

Kapil Saikia

Kapil is a son of a poor family from 2 no Rangagorah village of Duliajan in Dibrugarh district. His father is a farmer by profession and takes care of his family of three with his meagre income. Amidst all the challenges, Kapil scored 96.5% in the high school examination. Currently he is studying science stream at Oil India Higher Secondary School in Duliajan and wishes to study engineering.

Queen Das is from a very poor family. She lives in Erattary village of Barpeta district. Her father is a mason and is managing the family with great difficulty. In spite of such difficulties, she passed the recent high school examination with 88.16% marksl. She wants to become a doctor in the future to serve the community. She is currently studying in Class XI in Science stream at Sualkuchi Junior College.

Narendra Saikia

Narendra Saikia

A resident of Nowsila village of Majuli, Narendra's father is a tenant farmer. In spite of hand to mouth existence, Narendra secured 91% in the HSLC examination in 2022. Actively involved in literature, his writings have been published in Saphura, Mousak, Natun Abishkar etc. He has also published a poetry book of his own and plays the tabla. He wants to be an environmental scientist and is at present studying in Meragarh HS School, Majuli.

Nayanjyoti Hazarika

Nayanjyoti Hazarika

Nayanjyoti is from Tarfai village in Golaghat district. His father, who is a farmer, is the lone bread earner of the family. Despite these hardships, Nayanjyoti secured 93% in the HSLC examination and aspires to be an engineer. He is enrolled at Prayash Academy in the Science stream.

Kallul Gogoi

Kallul’s father drives an auto rikshaw to support the ever-growing financial burden of the family. Hailing from Sapakhowa, Sadiya, Kallul has successfully passed the HSLC examination with 94.18%. He is a student at Sadia College and wants to be a computer engineer.

Riki Kalita

Riki Kalita

Riki belongs to a very poor family from Kardaiguri village in Barpeta. Since his father works with a private company in a low paid job in Guwahati, Riki also has to take care of some household work. Despite such challenges, he has secured 88.6% in the last HSLC examination. At present, he is a student of B. Baruah College, Guwahati and wants to become a doctor.

Pranjit Bardoloi

Pranjit, who is the 5th rank holder in the 2022 HSLC exam securing 98.83%, is a resident of a remote village in Sipajhar called Barampur. Pranjit's father is a small and marginal farmer. With his dedication and hard-work, he continues to overcome financial hardships and aims to be a doctor. He is a student of Ramanujan Junior College, Nowgaon.

Nilakhi Borah

Nilakhi Borah

Due to the meagre income earned by her father from farming, it was difficult for Nilakshi to even purchase books for her examination. In spite of this, she has secured 91.83% in the recent HSLC examination. Keeping her dream of becoming an IAS officer alive, she is at present pursuing arts at Crescent Academy, Jorhat. Her hobbies include drawing and singing.

Binoy Deka

Belonging to a poor family from Garpot village, Kamrup (R) district, Binoy’s father who is a daily wage labourer is barely able to support his education. In spite of such hurdles, he has scored 92% in the HSLC exam. He is determined to establish himself as an IAS/IPS officer in the future and is pursuing his higher secondary education from Ramanujan Academy, Baihata Chariali.

Biplobjyoti Kalita

Born to a very poor family in Janjimukh, Jorhat, Biplobjyoti’s father earns by cutting grass and selling it as fodder for cattle. Such hardships however, have not deterred Biplob and he has scored 87.33 % in the HSLC exam. He is a student of arts at Renu Borah Memorial Academy, Jorhat and wishes to pursue academics.

Darina is from Bhetanta Mohipara, a remote village in Bajali. Her father conducts private tuition and the meagre income hardly suffices to support the family. She has passed HSLC with 92.33% marks and wants to appear for UPSC/APSC after graduation. Presently, she is enrolled in the arts stream at Krishnakanta Handique Academy, Pathsala.

Rimjhim Kalita

Rimjhim lives in Lethapara village of Sipajhar district, with her parents and her younger brother. Her father was a teacher, however, due to certain issues, he lost his job. He is at present, a daily wage earner which causes the family to continuously struggle with poverty. In spite of such hardships, she has scored 88% marks in the HSLC exam. She wants to appear for the APSC exam, and is presently studying arts in NRDS Senior Secondary School.

Rohan Gogoi

A true survivor of poverty, Rohan lives with his mother at Kathar village of Sivasagar district. His mother takes care of the household by working at others’ homes, as he lost his father during his childhood. Overcoming all odds, he has secured 91.33% in the HSLC exam. Along with studies, he loves to draw and has won many awards as a child scientist. His aim is to be an engineer, and he is at present, a student of science at Sivasagar Govt. HS & MP School.

Sharifuddin Ali

Sharifuddin belongs to a very poor family from Puthikhat, Udalguri district. His father who is a daily wage labourer, hardly manages the day to day expenses of the household. Without enough money to even purchase books and take tuitions, Sharifuddin scored 87.6% in the recent HSLC. At present, he is a student of science at Ajmal College and aspires to be a doctor.

Nitushree Kalita

Nitushree, who is from a remote village named Patbausi of Barpeta district, lost her father due to old age. Her mother works as a cook and with this income she somewhat manages to cover the expenses of her family of two children. Nitushree didn’t get the support which she needed during her studies, but she managed to overcome all hurdles by scoring 89.5% in her HSLC exam. She wants to be a doctor, and is at present, studying science at MC College, Barpeta.

Sameer lives in Sivsagar with his parents. His father sells milk door to door and from this income, they have to manage. They don’t even have their own home and due to financial problems, he was unable to take any private tuition. He overcame all hurdles with his hard-work and dedication and scored 91.83% in the HSLC exam. Currently he is studying science at Sivasagar Govt. MP & HS schools and wants to become an engineer.

Belonging from a poor family of Bhotanta Mohipara village of Bajali district, Madhurja’s father is a cultivator and with his meagre income he hardly manages to take care of the family of three. In spite of such challenges, Madhurja scored 88.33% in the HSLC 2022 and dreams of becoming an engineer. Presently, he is studying science at Krishnakanta Handique Academy of Pathsala.

Sahesal's father is a farmer from an interior village called Moroi of Sipajhar district. With the little income earned from cultivation, it becomes a herculean task to maintain the cost of the family of five. Sahesal secured 90.67% in the 2022 HSLC examination by overcoming all these financial hurdles. His aim is to pursue higher education in mathematics due to his immense interest in that subject. He is a student at Sipajhar College.

A farmer by profession, Sibani's father is a resident of Kharoiguri Village in Biswanath District. She had to suffer a lot as it was not easy to be the youngest of a family of five with little income. In spite of the financial problems, she managed to score 89.30% in the last HSLC examination with her dedication and hard work. Her dream is to become a doctor and she is a student of Gyanjyoti Academy, Bishwanath. Her hobby includes dancing.

Sushmrita is from Da-gaon village of Jorhat district. Her father’s earnings from cultivation supports the family of four. In spite of such financial hardships, she has secured 88% in the HSLC examination. Her dream is to crack the APSC exam after graduation. At present she is a student of the Arts stream at Ghanakanta Borah College.

Sikhamani from Kardoiguri village of Barpeta district lost her parents in her childhood. Despite constant hardships and financial problems, her uncle and stepmother managed to help her in her studies. Despite such financial and family problems Shikha secured 89.36% in the recently held HSLC examination. She likes to read books in her leisure time which definitely suits her aim to be a professor. She is now pursuing her HS course in arts stream at Krishnakanta Handique Academy, Barpeta.

Primarily a hawker and bee keeper, Biswajit’s father has been the lone bread earner of the family. But the Covid Pandemic has completely shattered the economic condition of the family. In spite of the challenges, Biswajit scored 90% in the HSLC exam and aspires to be an Engineer. He is a student of Reliance Jr College, Golaghat

Coming from a remote area of Kakajan, Jorhat, Pankaj Saikia wants to a join the Indian Army thorough the NDA. His father is a tenant farmer and the meagre income made it difficult for him to even purchase books for his exam. Despite such hardship, Pankaj scored 92.67% in HSLC 2021. His hobby is playing cricket. Presently he is studying in Ascent Academy, Jorhat.

Priyakshi belongs to a very poor family, from a village named Borpaik gaon, Rongdoi of Jorhat. Her father earns a living by cultivating fields of other people and selling vegetables in the roadside market. Since he also has to support Priyakshi’s elder sister who is pursuing her MA course in Dibrugarh University, Priyakshi didn’t have the luxury of access to books and tuition for her studies. She has scored around 92.33% in her HS exam and her dream is to be an IPS officer. Presently she is studying in Arohon Academy, Jorhat.

Hiyashree Devi, has secured 96% in the recent HSLC examination. She lives with her parents and her sister in Tihu, Nalbari. Her elder sister is also a student and pursuing BA in Economics. Her father runs a small book shop and can barely afford the cost of the education of two daughters. Hiyashree wants our guidance and support to follow her dream of joining the Assam Administrative Services. In her free time, she loves reading books like biography and novels. Presently, she is studying in Tihu College, Nalbari.

Priyapal Handique, Mariyani, Jorhat

Priyapal Handique belongs a lower middle class family in Mariyani, Jorhat. In his childhood, he was diagnosed with a disease that made him unable to walk, leaving him totally dependent on a wheel chair. Being the only bread earner of the family, his father used to run a hotel. But the lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic snatched away the only income source from the family. Despite such acute financial hardship, Priyapal has scored 93% in the HSLC 2021. He considers Stephen Hawking as his inspiration and wants to be a scientist like him crossing all the economic and physical barriers. Presently he is a student of XI in Science of Mariyani College, Jorhat.

Daughter of an office assistant of a non-sanctioned School of Dhuburi, Shahina has secured 95.8% marks in last HSLC examination. Despite severe lack of resources, Shahina has battled all odds by putting in tremendous hard work. She is highly confident of her abilities and aims to be a doctor. She has started her preparation for NEET straight after her Class X exms. She wants to help the needy people of her area once she becomes a doctor. At present she is a student of Dhuburi Girls College, Dhuburi.​

Jahid Akhtar, Darang

Jahid lives in Islampur of Mangaldai, Darang. His father works as a daily wage laborer. He loves machines and from his childhood his aim was to be an engineer. He has successfully secured 92.83%, despite facing many hardships along the way. Inspite of the shortage of resources, Jahid has not given up on his dream. In his free time he loves playing and reading various books which can increase his knowledge. Presently he is studying Gyan Sagar Academy, Mangaldai.

Ankit Sarma, Tinsukia

Ankit, who lives in Rangpuria, Tinsukia with his parents belongs to a very poor family. His father is bed ridden due to certain ailments and hence his mother has to take care of the entire family of three. Despite many challenges and economic obstacles Ankit has scored 90% in the HSLC 2021. Very positive and confident Ankit wants to be a Chemist in future. He wants to undertake research in the field of chemistry. His hobby is playing games like cricket, carrom, football etc. and reading books. He is a student of Tinsukia College, Tinsukia.

Fizaunnisha lost her father when she was about 5. Her mother supported both the education of both the children, she and her elder sister through rental income and tailoring. The economic and family problems made her stronger in her resolve to achieve her dream. She believes in hard-work, sincerity and determination. Despite many challenges she scored 91.2% in her HSLC exam and aims to become an IAS officer. Her hobby is drawing, playing indoor games and reading books. Presently, she is a student of Women College, Tinsukia.

Dipika Saikia, Majuli

Hailing from Majuli, Dipika’s father who is a small and marginal farmer had to take care of the entire family from his meagre income. He also has to support his elder son who is studying M.Sc. in Dibrugarh University. Dipika studied through her HSLC exams by borrowing books from others and still scored 98.5%. In spite of such financial difficulties, she has taken it as a challenge to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor and serve the family as well as the society. Presently, she is a student of NKEM Jr. College, Jorhat.

Riya is from a very poor and backward village of Nalbari District. Her father is a priest. Through his meagre income he had to take care of his family. Since Riya’s elder sister is specially abled, he has to take care of her. Despite such problems Riya scored 87% in the HSLC 2021. Her aim is to become an administrative officer and support her family. In her free time she loves drawing and singing. She is also a good artist and a singer. At present she is studying in Aryabhtatta Academy, Tihu.​

Dibakar Medhi, Baksa

Dibakar, is from a remote village named Khagrabari Village of Baksa district. His father is a farmer somehow managing the day to day expenses with his irregular and low income. In spite of such hardships, through his hard work and dedication he has secured 83.5% in the last HSLC exam. He loves to play cricket in his free time. At present he is studying in Nalbari College, Tihu.

Pabitrapran Baruah, Majuli

Pabitrapran Baruah, lives in Saroati village of Majuli and is from a very poor family. The remote village is without any transport facility. His father is a street vendor who is somehow managing his four member family unfortunately, they have lost their home due to erosion and at present taking shelter in a L.P. school. Surpassing all the hurdles he managed to score 91% in HSLC 2021. Pabitrapran is a very good extempore speaker, debater and wants to be an administrative officer. Presently he is a student of Namoni Majuli Sr. Secondary School, Majuli.

Hailing from Majuli, Aroti’s father who is a small and marginal farmer had to take care of the entire family from his meagre income. This inspired Aroti to put all efforts in her studies, so that in future not only could she make her father proud but also look after the family. Despite studying from borrowed books and with the help of her teachers in school, she scored 91.83% in her HSLC exam and wants to pursue a career in medicine post Class XII.

Dulia is from a very poor and backward village called Kalgachia. His father, who is a cultivator with a small plot of land, had to support the entire family. Dulia is inspired by his father who keeps on encouraging him to be self-reliant and not struggle for survival. He scored 87.5% in the HSLC exam and dreams of becoming a doctor and serving the poorest of the poor.

Bastab Gogoi

Hailing from Lakhimpur, Bastab’s father worked in a venture school for twenty one years without any pay and supports his family from whatever income he is able to generate from cultivation. Since his elder sister is also studying, it was difficult for Bastab to even purchase books for his exam. His mother also had to support the family through weaving. Inspite of such hardships, Bastab scored 92% in his HSLC exam and aims to become a doctor.

A carpenter by occupation, Gouripaban’s father supports the family with his meagre earning. He lives in a remote village of Lakhimpur, Tatibahar. Gouripaban has not only overcome these financial hindrances but also has done something extraordinary by securing 94.33% in HSLC exam. He wants to become a doctor and serve the community.

Gyanom is from Selenghat. His father is a teacher, but of a non-provincialised school and had to support the family of four through home tuitions. Despite these obstacles, Gyanom has proudly secured 94.67% in HSLC exam. Gyanom believes in hard work and is passionate and determined to be a doctor and serve the community.

Ankushmita Robidas

Ankushmita lives in a village of Jorhat namely Borigaon with her other three family members. Her father is bed ridden due to certain ailments and hence her mother has to take care of the entire family of four. Despite these odds and with the constant support of her parents and teachers, Ankushmita secure 89.33% in HSLC exam. She has an ambitious dream of becoming an administrative officer.

Trinayan Sarma

Hailing from Dergaon, Trinayan lost both his parents at an early age and was brought up by his grandmother. In spite of such challenges, he has secured 90.8 percentages in 10th Board examination. Trinayan, who has been conferred with National Child Scientist Award twice, aspires to get into IIT as he believes that an engineer can play a important role in the progress of the country.

Sakil Ahmed

Sakil’s father is a small vegetable vendor in his hometown Jokholabondha, Nagaon and has to take care of a family of seven through what he is able to sell daily. The family was so financially stressed, that Sakil didn’t even have a table to study. Inspite of these challenges, Sakil secured 86.3% in HSLC exam. He wants to pursue a career in civil services.

Manashjyoti is from Kenduguri, Jorhat. His father has been physically unwell for long and had to spend a lot on his medicines. As a result, Manash’s and his elder sisters education were disrupted. Both of them had difficulty in purchase of required study material and payment of school fees on time. Overcoming these financial adversaries, Manashjyoti has secured 95.67% in HSLC exam. Manas want to pursue a career in Management by completing his MBA from a reputed institution.

Sourabhjyoti is from Golaghat. Since his father has some medical issues, he supports his family only through home tuitions. With some support from his sister and sister-in-law’s family, he was able to complete his education and scored 87% in HSLC exam. Sourabh wants to appear for the National Defence Academy exams and serve the country. His Plan B is to pursue a Masters in Chemistry.

Palashjyoti Hazarika

A resident of Mahimabari of Titabor, Jorhat Palashjyoti’s father is a small farmer. With the little income he gets, he has to look after the family apart from taking care of Palashjyoti’s educational expenses. Despite these problems, Palashjyoti has secured 90.66% in HSLC exam. Becoming a doctor is his dream.

Rijumoni Handique

Rijumoni who is from Nitaipukhuri, Sivasagar has scored 88.66% in her HSLC exam. Her father who is a farmer supports the family of four from whatever he is able earn from cultivation. Although Rijumoni didn’t have access to educational resources like the other students in her class, she worked hard to achieve success. Trishnajyoti who scored 88.83% in the last HSLC examination, wants to be an IAS officer. Her father is a small farmer and her parents work very hard to make ends meet. She lacks a proper guide to help her fulfill her ambition. She likes reading books during leisure time and is presently a student of Borhola HS school of Jorhat in the arts stream.​

Despite severe lack of resources, Prajapoti has battled all odds by putting in tremendous hard work. He is highly confident of his abilities and aims to be a doctor. At present he is a student of North Lakhimpur College, Lakhimpur.​

Belonging to a remote area of Jorhat, Rimpi’s father is a bamboo craft worker, while her mother works in the fields to make a living. Staying in a dilapidated house, she has been struggling continuously with poverty. Despite these hardships, she has secured 87.5% in HSLC examination. Taking on her dire financial situation as a challenge, Rimpi wants to be a doctor and is studying in Pragya Academy, Jorhat in the science stream.​

Neelotpal who is from Mangaldai has secured 92.16% in the HSLC examination. His father is a small farmer and is somehow making ends meet. Despite the lack of the basic requirements of books, copies etc. for study, Neelotpal has fared well in his studies. Highly ambitious and meritorious Neelotpal wants to be a doctor. At present he is enrolled in Ramanujam Academy, Nagaon.​

Bitupan who is from a remote area called Dooni of Darrang District, belongs to a very poor family. His father makes end meet by selling books from door to door. Despite not having a proper house and resources for studies, Bitupan carried on with determination. Amidst such struggle and lack of minimum amenities, he secured 89 percentage in the last HSLC examination. Bitupan who desires to be a doctor, is presently studying in Mangaldai Sipajhar HS school.​

His father, a teacher of a non-sanction school with almost zero income is somehow feeding his family with low earnings from growing paddy in his small land field. With this income Kandarpa’s father has been providing for the education of his two sons and hence not able to provide in a sufficient manner. But a strongly determined Kandarpa has secured 88.33% in the last HSLC examination overcoming these problems. Presently he is a student of science stream in North Lakhimpur College, Lakhimpur.​

Coming from a very backward area of Dibrugarh, Bhupen Gogoi is a very meritorious student. His father is a roadside vendor who sells vegetables collected from forests to make a living. Growing up in such a family where his parents struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet, he scored 91.5% in the HSLC examination. He aims to be a doctor and serve the society. Presently he is a student of Salt Brook Academy, Dibrugarh.​

Who aims to be a doctor, has successfully secured 95.34%, despite facing many hardships along the way. With a small cycle repairing stall, his father has somehow been making ends meet to sustain his family while his mother has worked equally hard to manage the household. Udit, whose father earns a living by driving an auto rickshaw, is from a village near Barpeta. Since his father also has to support Udit’s elder sister who is pursuing her CA course in Guwahati, Udit didn’t have the luxury of access to books and tution for his studies. In spite of these hardships, he was able to score 87.2% in his HSLC exam. His aim is to become an engineer and support his family. At present he is studying in Aryabhatta Academy Higher Secondary School, Barpeta.​

Chaya lost her father in an unfortunate accident when she was in Class VII and the family had to face a lot of hardship to carry on with their lives. However, her mother supported both the children in pursuing their studies by borrowing money from others and through her income from tailoring. Through her sheer hard work and dedication, she scored 92.5% in her HSLC exam and aims to become an IAS officer. She is also a good extempore speaker and dancer. At present she is studying in Cotton College, Guwahati.​

She lost her father at a very young age and her maternal uncles took care of them by providing shelter. Whatever income her mother was able to generate through weaving went to support her education. Belonging to a poor family from Teok, Jorhat Ankur is a brilliant boy. His father is a cultivator and through his meagre income takes care of the family and also supports the education of three children. In spite of challenges, Chinmoy scored 89.5% in his HSLC exam and is moving towards his dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant. Presently he is studying in J.B. College, Jorhat.​

Kalpana, who is from a remote village in Lakhimpur belongs to a very poor landless family. She studied through her HSLC exams by borrowing books from others and still scoring 94%. But tragedy struck this family of four, when the only income earner, her father suddenly passed away a few days after her exam results were declared. In spite of such personal and financial difficulties, she has taken it as a challenge to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, one that she shared with her father. She is a student of Brahmaputra Valley Academy, Lahimpur.​

Ananta belongs to a very poor family, from a remote village of Tihu, Nalbari. He has grown up fighting poverty as his father earns a living by cultivating fields of other people and selling vegetables in the roadside market. His study table is just a bed made out of bamboo which he shares with his elder brother. Since they didn’t have enough money to purchase books and take tuition classes, he had to borrow from others. But this has not stopped him from dreaming big. He scored 87.6% in his HSLC exam and aspires to join the National Defence Academy. He is as student of Tihu College, Nalbari.​

Chinmoy, who is from a village near Mangaldai has scored 90% in his HSLC exam and dreams of becoming an aeronautical engineer. His father, who cultivates a small plot of land, earns a living by taking tuitions in the village. They face a lot of problems during the monsoon months due to a leaking roof in their house. In his free time, he likes to do fishing. He is studying in Sipajhar College, Mangaldoi.​
