Criteria For Selection

Those who have scored more than 85% in Class X examination. Have passed from Government/ Government Aided and Municipal Schools of Assam. Are economically challenged and who without the financial support might not be able to fulfil their dreams. Should not be in receipt of any other scholarship, fellowship or any other aid both in cash or in kind.

Selection Process

Each year Adhyaya receives on an average of 70-80 applications from across Assam once it opens its application process the day the HSLC exams are announced. The Fellows are selected through an intense process including call for applications, reference letter from principal / headmaster, telephonic interviews and field visits

Screening of Applications – From the total applications received, based on fulfilling eligibility criteria and references an initial list of applicants are shortlisted for telephonic interviews.

Telephonic Interviews – Around two rounds of interviews are held with screened applicants. Based on the interviews, a provisional list of applicants arefinalised for field visits by the Luit Fellows team members.

Field Visits – Field visits are a way of understanding the selected applicants in a more personal setting. It offers an opportunity to the team members, applicant and her family members to know each other better and clarify any doubts and set expectations. The field visits play a crucial role in finalising the list of the new ‘Luit Fellows’.

Assessment

The continuation of the fellowship in based on a quarterly assessment. Quarterly monitoring and assessment of each student will be based on.
